Solves systems of algebraic and/or differential equations. Natural language can be used to specify a problem, for example solve y = cos(y). Some higher index problems (index 2 and above) can be solved too, including problems on mechanical systems with holonomic constraints. Continuation along branches of stationary solutions is possible. DAE Solver performs linear stability analysis and it searches for turning points, simple bifurcation points, and Hopf bifurcation points. It also searches for new branches whenever a branch point is reached. Multiple documents are allowed, with unlimited undo. Results are generated as tables and graphs that can be copied to the Clipboard, and animations that can be saved as movie files. AppleScript is supported, with scripts that DAE Solver builds as a problem is defined and that can later be customized. Mac OS X 10.6.8 is still supported.
